38 year old MD of a London based
HR Consultancy employing 13 people and with an associate network of a
further 25. Unusual experience profile having started career (and qualified)
as an auditor before spending a number of years in change management roles,
during which time I also studied towards an MBA.. Six years ago I shifted
again when I took on a senior corporate HR role before leaving two years
ago to set up the consultancy I now head up. Having spent 6 years in audit
roles I am very comfortable with numbers, risk management and business
control. However, my more recent experience has given me a much broader
understanding of critical people issues which determine whether organisations
succeed or fail. Invariably it is these softer people issues which small
and medium sized enterprises fail to reflect in the experience of executive
and non-executive directors. I can bring this additional perspective whilst
also bringing to bear conventional numbers and controls based experience.
Of course I also have almost 2 years experience operating at Board level
running my own organisation.
